After a sufficient stay in the rural South, Jim Ringley studied painting and design at the University of Central Arkansas, then Creative Writing at Naropa University in Colorado, where methods of poetry and collage steered his painting compositions. Ringley’s work has been selected for awards by the Colorado Council on the Arts and the Fine Arts Institute of the San Bernadino County Museum and he has exhibited at many galleries and museums in group and solo shows across the country. He currently lives and works in San Luis Obispo, California.
